Description
Early Egyptian revival period mechanical pencil - very well made and works perfect - uses modern ( obtainable lead ) 1.8 MM - there are SEVERAL variants of this type of pencil - this is the larger 102 MM / fully open type - 81 MM closed - this model is fully enclosed in function ( other more simple types removed a pencil from the obelisk sleeve / often separated or lostthis pencil extends the top by rotating the base / the base than twists out to give the pencil enough length to rest on the side of the index finger ( mush nicer to use )
tip and rear tube look like rose gold - the ring is sterling and has a stamp that is hard to read - the body is silver with at least 9 individual pieces soldered for just the exterior ( an over all pretty complex and
precision
instrument for its day )
