1996 BMW R1100RT.

The bike starts and runs well.  It is safe to ride (decent tires, good brakes, all lights and signals working).  It shows wear and tear expected of a properly maintained 25 year old motorcycle with 105K miles on it.  I got the bike in 2009 with about 71K miles on it and have ridden it mostly for commuting. I worked at a BMW shop and did all my own maintenance of this R1100. Burned a couple exhaust valves at 84K and did a valve job, with all new exhaust valves.  At 88K on the odo, put a used gearbox with about 55K miles on it in the bike, along with a new clutch. Installed new front brake rotors at 99K. Replaced final drive oil seal a couple of times over the years. Replaced leaking oil level sight glass and oil pressure sending unit. Otherwise, just pretty much routine maintenance - oil and brake fluid, oil, fuel and air filter changes, plugs, alternator drive belt, etc. Tires, of course. Engine and gearbox weep a little oil, but not enough to warrant a teardown and gasket/seal replacement. At a certain age, all of us start to leak a little.
