1979 BMW

Description

I picked this up at an estate sale a couple months ago it had been sitting inside for about 5 years. I washed it cleaned the carburetors replaced the fuel lines charged the battery changed the oil and it cranked it smoked a little till it warmed up and that went away, i rode it about 10 miles and put it up for a project later. I bought another bike i like better and it will be the project so this one can go. the paint on the tank has a few spots that are checking and it looks like some thing leaked on the right side of the tank  as can be seen in the pictures, the center stand is missing and the side stand has been changed also the head light  and turn signals are not original, i do not have those parts. this would make a great start for a restoration or a bobber or just ride it like it is. i dont know anything about the mechanical condition. the odometer does not work.
