Syracuse, N.Y. — Southbound Interstate 81 in Syracuse is reduced to one lane after a crash involving a garbage truck, according to dispatches.
The crash was reported by someone driving by at 9:18 a.m., according to dispatches from the Onondaga County 911 Center.
The crash was between a Buick and a garbage truck, the 911 caller reported to dispatchers.
The crash is on 81 South near Exit 17 (South Salina Street, Brighton Avenue, State Street), according to an alert from the state Department of Transportation.
DOT traffic cameras show traffic at a stand still backed up past Exit 18 (Almond Street).
